Everyone suffers an occasional cut, bruise or wound on some part of the body. Nevertheless, a person waits for many days to start seeing a slow improvement in the wound. However, this article contains a few natural remedies to treat wounds fast. But first, you need to understand how the healing process works before trying to heal the wounds.

The Process

There are three phases in the healing process. These phases are called the inflammatory, proliferative and remodelling phases. Soon after injury, platelets gather at the location of the wound and start forming a fibrin clot. After reaching the inflammatory process, bacteria and debris are phagocytised and removed. By the end of the process, new collagen is formed along the tension lines and any cells that are no longer required are removed by apoptosis. A small wound would usually be healed within a single month. However, there are natural remedies that could heal wounds much faster.

Fortunately, not all wounds require urgent treatment. It only depends on the severity of the injury to understand if your wound will heal on its own without the need of medical examination. Cleaning the wound with a cloth or tissue would prevent infections from developing on the wound. You can also try applying cold ice wrapped with towel to stop further bleeding.
